Returning Veterans: Potential environmental exposures during your military service

OEF/OIF/OND Veterans may have health concerns related to potential environmental exposures while they were on active duty, which can include:

– Animal contacts, including bites
– Airborne pollutants from burn pits and other sources
– Infectious diseases
– Depleted uranium
– Toxic embedded fragments
– Chromium at the Qarmat Ali water treatment facility in the spring or summer of 2003
– Cold and heat related illnesses and injuries
– Noise, vibration, and other physical exposures
